I don't know where everyone is ... I am in New England. Just heard of flooding and tornadoes in West Virginia and am thinking of you. Hope you are all safe.

This tree sized branch fell off my white oak tree about 12 hours after the wind storm came through yesterday. It took out the electricity and the limb is hanging on the phone wire. I put a new roof on the garage 2 summers ago. Bummed out because I really need to have this tree taken down because this is the second limb to fall off causing major property damage in the last 10 years

O am so sorry but thankful it was the garage and not the house, Tessie, or more importantly - YOU.

Tessie's fine. This garage is used for storage only.

All is well in Shinnston. Flash flood warnings but we are OK. First question we asked BEFORE making an offer on this place was, "where is the water?" We are at the edge, but out of, the 500-year flood plain.
We had a LOT of thunder & lightening and strong wind during the night. June 23, 1944 is the day Shinnston was devastated by a tornado. This time all the really bad stuff was south of us, in an area already devastated by the economy. The path started about 30 miles south of us and down but also east and west. They got hammered throughout the day.
Summersville is about 100 miles south of me On US Rt. 19

We have this with a tree right in front of the property we are trying to buy but is on the boundary with the next house and just on his side - he has promised to cut it down before we put our new windows in so we both win - too close to the houses and dropps leafs and stuff into all the gutters etc plus its so massive if it goes (very like yours) we would both have serious damage. PLus he can use my scaffolding for access so that's an added plus!
