I was in my driveway over the weekend and here come two women walking dogs from the woods. My driveway is a right of way to the neighbor's house and he uses it often to get to his driveway. (First they pass the signs on my neighbor's driveway saying, "Private Property," then they pass a big sign on my driveway saying, "Not a through way, authorized access only." Then, they see me and still, they keep walking. I say, "You know, this is not a road." Them, "We know. We're just walking our dogs."
Me, "But it's not a road, it's my yard."
Them, "But we do it all the time."
Me, "But it's not a road."
Them, (getting testy) "Really? We're just walking our dogs!"
Me, "But it's not a road."
Them, (turning around to again walk through my neighbor's yard) "Azzhole!"

Wow!
There are good dog people and bad dog people. My neighbor lives in a converted church. She has a no pooping sign directly in the front of her yard. Does not stop 99% of the dog people from walking right thru her yard with their dogs. (Like it's perfectly OK because it's a church, right?)
There are days I wish she'd just open the front door and let her dogs out. Off leash. And then close the door behind them.

We woke up one Sunday morning to an "independent" film crew on the front lawn of our 2nd house. When asked, they said that the movie's director told them to place themselves there. Director and locations manager said that our CVB President had given them permission to film there because the house was vacant. This house is well cared for and yard is kept impeccably.
Really??
Who does that? Give permission to a film crew to trespass on private property?
No boundaries....

Some people do not understand that our properties are private property. No boundaries unless it is their property.
When we first moved in we had (adult) kids ride through our yard (back to front) on 4 wheelers. It took putting up fence posts in the back to block their path.
We had a guy walk his dog through our yard and into our private garden area. When we called out to him he said he thought this was a park.

People have parked their cars in our lot and walk into the neighborhood near us as they didn't want to bother their friends neighbors.
We have had kids ride bikes to our house in swim trunks and towel around their neck expecting to be able to take a dip in the pool. Luckily we keep the door locked, guests must ask for pool access.

And when you are not there I hope their dogs don't leave a deposit. I had that happen and felt it was revenge. Could be wrong. So disrespectful.

its why we have a railing on our front wall - its just the right height to sit on so completely random people were just sitting there, having lunch or whatever! this is one of the problems with the property next door we are buying not even a wall, fence or railing to show where the council bit of grass and our front starts - getting that stopped asap! Now and again we have a small child or dog wander into our front yard but they are quickly retrieved though what knarks me off is great big piles of dog poo on the strip of council grass just outside our wall - thanks for that!
In the UK it is illegal to leave dog poo and you get fined if they catch you.

You missed it in another thread... TheBeachHouse is on my http://goo.gl/VQB5K8 because she called macarons, cookies (on purpose, knowing how much it upsets me). So I want to send these nice ladies a gift for bringing her a lovely lawn gift.

You ARE kidding, right? Sometimes it's hard to know when you are reading and there is no facial expression to read.

Just making sure. I can tend toward paranoia, but prefer to be optimistic.
I would never knowingly insult a fellow innmate.

A lady down the road has a B&B on the lake side. She has signs up saying private property and still people park on her drive and walk around her house so they can sit/walk on her beach.

There are three ways to get the message across to a parked car... you write them a "love note" on their car. Here are the three non-destructive but heart-stopping methods that teach them a lesson.
UHU stick & paper - Yes, you put glue stick on their windscreen and then stick the letter to it. It will come off, but not very easily... a lot of work.
Wet erase marker - When it dries, the way to get it off is with something wet, like windshield wiper fluid. Of course they think you used permanent marker on their windscreen.
Dry erase marker - It comes off easily when dry, just rub with a cloth Of course they think you used permanent marker on their windscreen.
Almost anyone who has ever had this done to them remember it and are afraid that someone will do it to them again.

I feel a little better…. We just have people driving through…. walking thru…. Life doesn't seem so bad over here….

Edited… As one guy who was cutting through said, "You're a B&B that makes it public property."

I'm not sure why the constant traffic of guests doesn't bother me, but when the neighbors drive though, I get upset.
I think that /\/\/\ is why.

We often have "rubber neckers" drive in our driveway to the end, turn around, and then drive out. We accost them if it is convenient, ask if they have any questions or if we can get them a brochure. Some don't stop to chat, though (rather rude, I think). They are not trying to go through our property to someplace else, but are just exploring. Of course, our driveway does show up as a road on Google Maps and many GPS systems, labelled "Our Name Rd." We don't have any signs saying "private" (except on our kitchen door), but a big sign out on the road identifying our business, and signs warning "caution children playing," "watch for children," and "slow!"
