Anyone use this? I found a bag in the store and it looked interesting. There's a recipe for pancakes but I was thinking something else, more in the snack line.
Anything?

I know that almond meal is courser than almond flour but I think it's interchangeable for cooking ... I could be wrong but I think the meal is almond ground with skins still on. I have cooked with almond flour for lower carbs, and was surprised the recipe came out great. No one noticed the difference in taste or texture. My sister is one of the few people I know with gluten issues, not just fruten glee, and she was delighted with what I made.

I use it in shortbread. Makes a slightly different change.

We have added it to some baked goods, including GF. Adds a coarser texture and a little flavor. Try substituting for flour a half cup in a 3 or 4 cup recipe . Store in freezer, and use quickly.
