Mom & Me

Just to update all... After breakfast was served, I went to my appointment... I'm scheduled for an operation towards the end of the year that should sort out my troubles. Doc was very nice younger guy. Laughed when I told him the trouble with the meds that I'm having.

Mom went back to her place for a few hours with the social worker. They are going to send her out for the weekend to try to see how she does at home and back to the rehab after that. But it's going forward at least.

Glad you are getting sorted. And that mom got sprung for a few days.

I have no problem waiting. Like everything in our medical system, unless it's an emergency, it doesn't happen overnight. But the good part is... not going to cost a penny and it will all be done.

I have no problem waiting. Like everything in our medical system, unless it's an emergency, it doesn't happen overnight. But the good part is... not going to cost a penny and it will all be done.

and you can't leave in case your number is called, er I mean for the surgery. Numbers can be called from anywhere.

I have no problem waiting. Like everything in our medical system, unless it's an emergency, it doesn't happen overnight. But the good part is... not going to cost a penny and it will all be done.

and you can't leave in case your number is called, er I mean for the surgery. Numbers can be called from anywhere.

Nah, not really a problem. If I miss his surgery days this time, they will schedule me for the next time. Besides, they have my cell... they can get in touch with me even in Europe or Asia. But it's about 6 to 8 week, so they should be calling me pretty soon to schedule.

Having a surgery in a few months is even more reason to enjoy your upcoming trip! I am hobbling around QC but grateful as hell to be able to enjoy this beautiful city!

That's why we are renting a place with a kitchen. Yesterday we visited the marche and stocked up on local produce, fresh pasta and pesto, cheese, and bread. A good bottle of wine and we are all set for diner!

You know that you can get raw milk cheese (6 days is considered safe here). Oh and Kinder surprise eggs are LEGAL!
