Yes, I know, it's a horrible topic, but it has to be said......
I am fed up with people who leave used tissues in the bed, dropped on the floor in the bedroom and bathroom, but worst of all, those who put them on their plate once they've finished their breakfast.
What do they think happens to them, do they think the tissue fairy makes them vanish. No, I have to pick them up and put them in the bin.
 
I get this with napkins at breakfast - great now I have to pull them out of your bean juice where they are all stuck up to put in the bin - thanks
Also had a woman did a massive mega nose blow at the table then left the napkin on the plate for me - thanks
 
I guess people are doing what they do at a restaurant. At a restaurant, they don't go looking for a trash can, they leave it for the waitress to discard. But if they're nice, they leave a tip. I doubt you find many tips left on the dining table at a B&B.
 
People have absolutely no manners - this is a huge pet peeve of mine. My kids have been taught to not blow your nose at the table, go to the bathroom. And if you have to wipe your nose on tissues at the table in a restaurant because you have allergies or something, those tissues go in your pocket and you throw them away at home or go to the bathroom on the way out and discard them. Keep your germs to yourself and don't expect any waiter, innkeeper, etc. to have to touch your germs. I've wanted to smack a couple people who I saw blowing their nose in my cloth napkins in the dining room. Obviously they had a mother with no manners either or they are the kind of people who just don't give a rats butt about anyone else.
 
My favorite folks leave their used dental floss for me to pick up. I find it in the bed, next to the trash can ("Oops, I missed!"), in the shower or better yet, they flush it down the toilet and my husband, the plumber, has to snake it out of the septic pipes along with their personal wipes. Urgggh!

Blowing noses into the dinner napkins! Eeew!
I guess the cure would be to tell folks at the end of breakfast that for environmental reasons they will be using the same napkins again tomorrow morning.

Seriously.
They just haven't been taught not to.
Some time ago I read a blurb about companies who send employees to manners teachers so they will present a good image at sales lunches and company events.
Seems more don't know than do.
Unfortunately its not up to us to teach them.
<scuttles off to take soiled cloth napkins to the laundry room>

People that blow their nose in the dinning room at breakfast need a smack too, I can hear it from the kitchen sometimes and it makes me sick so how do other guests feel.
Never had someone blow their nose on my cloth napkins, now that is gross, I would have to say something about that.
 
As soon as I hear someone sniffling in the dining room, I walk into the common area, pick up the box of Kleenex that is about 8 feet away, place it on their table and I say, " Here, this will be softer on your nose than my napkins" Puleeze!
