Who needs a break or ready to retire? I am a seasoned innkeeper ready to go to the next level. Not being in a financial position to purchase an inn, I am offering innkeeping and lots of sweat equity. Feel free to contact me at 678-725-3062. Kind regards, CC

What's the 'next level' for you? What does that mean to a prospective employer?

I would like the opportunity to gain more knowledge of the financials and other aspects of owning an inn rather than just managing one. I enjoy management, however, the goal is to be an owner myself. With the understanding there are several seminars and classes available, I am more of a hands on person.

The financials might be a leap of faith. Unless you find an inn where you are completely in charge of every daily activity.
It sounds like you've done everything in the running of the business except handling the money. A class won't give you that experience.
If you're presently employed are those owners willing to give you free rein or at least a peek at how things work?

How do you feel about NC these days?.
I like North Carolina. I managed Pecan Tree Inn Buefort NC for a seaon. Was able to ride out hurricane Irene there as well. What part of NC are you located in?

Thank you for your response. I do feel I'm taking a leap of faith. I'm currently employed, however not as an innkeeper at the present time. I have yet to find a position in which someone would be willing to give up some control and become a mentor instead of just an employer.

We are in Clinton, which is in Sampson County - 1 hr nw of Wilmington, and 1 hr se of Raleigh. 45 min due east of Fayetteville. Nothing like Beaufort, which is beautiful. Clinton is a nice, small southern town. Come check us out! www.ashford-inn.com.
