Two more days of guests and I will be free! I have sold my inn and will be moving out next week (our closing is October 11th). The new owner is a lovely woman who lives about an hour away, and I feel confident will do great things for this business. I could not be happier!!! I am going to stay local, and take six month or so to just rest, relax, work on my health, and travel. After that...who knows? I'm still young enough to start another business if I want. Just not sure what I will do, but you know what? I'm not worried about it either. God will lead me....

I haven't been consistent with my participation in the forum, but I want you all to know I admire you for your continued passion. I lost mine a couple years ago with a sale that fell through. My mind and spirit was already gone from the business when the buyers pulled out of the contract, and I just could not get that passion back. I managed to keep going without becoming a burned out innkeeper to the guests, and maintained the house and business relations...but it took it's toll and I am SO ready to be done.

Thanks to you all for being the people you are. Business owners are a special breed, and living where you work is not all it's cracked up to be. To have strangers in your house, 24x7...not many can do it. This is not a "dream" job (if I had a $1 for every time I've heard that!), but it does have it's rewards. I have no regrets about quitting my "real life" and moving across the country to flip a 130 year old neglected home into the beautiful B&B it has become. But it's time for something different....

Love you all. Take care of you first ♥ I might pop in now and again to see how y'all are doing.

I am thrilled for you. God bless you in your new freedom, I am thankful for knowing you.
Please come and see us or even if passing through the area, let me know and I can meet you near the interstate for lunch.

Congratulations on the sale! Enjoy your brief retirement, then enjoy the next phase of your life. We'll miss you!

Congrats with the sale! Best wishes with whatever the future brings.
You'll never forget those crazy pool parties! ;-)

Cheers! Glad to hear you are free! Enjoy! Live your life well! If you get bored or end up over here, stop in and say hi! Or if you miss making breakfast, cleaning rooms, etc. I'll let you help me!

Congratulations and "Happy Trails!" It took me almost three years to unwind and de-stress from retiring from the diner but I was very bored and so have this little business of a bed and breakfast now. Love it and it's just enough for us. As you said, "God will lead and direct your next path" and it will be a joyful one.
