I just got an e-mail claiming to be from FedEx, with their color logo and all. The message says,
Customer: (my inn name)
FedEx Delivery Notice
We will delivery your parcel tomorrow morning.
Delivery address is: (my inn address)
View Your Tracking number here.
I almost clicked the tracking number link, to see what the package is, but then realized, I don't get tracking notices from FedEx. I get tracking numbers from the company I purchased something from! So they almost got me to click. They continue to get more and more creative. Went to the trouble to look up my inn name and physical address. It's not just Nigerian princes anymore.

I get these from FedEx, DHL, and assorted delivery companies and delete every one of them. Have received them for years.

Thank you! I get a lot of deliveries, mostly from ups, and all have track links or notification emails coming in all the time. :(

I use Gmail and it knows a real from a fake to track.

But they aren't totally perfect…. They sent an inmate's email through innspiring to spam!

I have also received them from AirBnb - please click here to confirm your account setup - and Amazon - attached is your invoice for your order of $3000+. Both phishing schemes, I'm sure. The Airbnb one was to one of my business email addresses and addressed Dear Kayleigh (a phonetic spelling of my cat's name). They are clever...

Just got one wanting me to confirm the details for the guest's arrival tomorrow. It's not the way I send out confirmations but it might catch someone off guard if their subject line for reservations is 'reservation information'.

Well ... just received three 'barely understandable' emails about problems with a FedEx delivery being delayed and clickable links. So there you go ... I'm on the hit list.
