Last night as I was closing down the computer, I saw an e-mail asking about stabling saying Saturday night in the subject but Sunday in the message. It was way too late to call so I e-mailed back, Call in the morning. He called, wanted tonight (Sunday) and was travelling with 2 horses. I get his name & number and tell him I will call the farmer to get the OK (sometimes he has cattle in the stable) and call back. I get the OK and call back, getting voicemail so leave message. Then I text thinking that might be faster to get him to call back. In the space of 4 hours, they decided to go a different route (he knew it would be 3 hours min. before I could talk to the farmer who would be in church).
I got his text as I was leaving the grocery from picking up extra fruit.
A couple hours later a car pulls up - Himself thinks it is our expected guests (motorcycle certificate which was why I was happy to have a paying guest - at least briefly). A lady walks in - she had been sent by someone in town when she asked about a place to stay. I had a WALK-IN, a real walk-in. If the horses had come, I could not have taken her.
My third room is for a flute player who stays after rehearsal - unless I get reservation for that room, I am just leaving it instead of flipping the room.
Woohoo

Perfect! How did they end up out there without a place to stay?

Keep up the good work! Maybe the horse people will come by your route next time...

She had been here (town) about 25 years ago or so and took a drive for her birthday. I think she just wanted to relax because she went to her room, laid down and watched TV. I took her fruit basket up (since she walked in I did not have one made up) and when I knocked to tell her it was on the table outside her room. she said come in. She looked quite happy sprawled on the bed watching TV. She has not come out.

Glad for you both!
