Y'all told me it would happen. Can't believe it took nearly 4 years for someone to finally try to light one of the battery powered LED candles I put in the bathrooms. Innkeep had told me to always turn one of them upside down so guests would see that they aren't real, but my housekeeper didn't do that, and this guy burned TWO of them trying to light the fake flame!! And he's a medical doctor.

Happened a few weeks after I put them in the room for use, and yep, burned two.

I can't believe it took 4 years either! I turn all of them over and still, people try to light them. I've replaced all of them at least twice.

The funny thing is as soon as I saw the title on the side of the page, I said, "That's Arks."
I guess he believed in "If you first don't succeed, try, try again!"
So what happen, melted? explored?
Innkeep is a very wise woman.

Housekeeper says they still work, so she cleaned out the black soot from his lighting attempts, and we'll go on using them. I'll eventually pitch them all, because I've put jar candles by each tub and they have been working well. People use them, and they last for months. I glued them to a cork coaster so if somebody lets them burn all the way, they won't overheat the counter top or tub.

Does anyone have a recommendation for good-looking LED candles? Because of our fire concerns – located at the far edge of the volunteer district – we don't allow candles or smoking.
