Best Vac?

Electrolux Upright Commercial Grade Pro…. It's perfect!…..but $$$! My first job was working at a carpet care place in VT and they sold this brand line of vacuums so we got them for our jobs. I was the newest employee so I got the bottom of the pile vacuum until my boss gave me this one. A customer had special ordered it and never came and got it.
The worst vacuum was the backpack vac….it was out to kill you! The wand would smash things, wack you in the head, and get caught on light fixtures. The vacuum wouldn't stay put on your back so it would unbalance you. The vent blew hot air down your back to name a few….. We bitterly complained about it while the boss thought it was the greatest thing on the planet until he had to do our job one night and it throw him down the flight of cement stairs. The posters and display in the sale floor came down. Last I saw it, it sat in a lonely corner collecting dust and cobwebs....

I have an Electrolux upright too, love it for carpets, but doesn't get under the beds, so I don't use it every time. Thanks everyone for the feedback. I'll stick with the Hoovers for the present, sounds like as good as all mentioned here.

I have an Electrolux upright too, love it for carpets, but doesn't get under the beds, so I don't use it every time. Thanks everyone for the feedback. I'll stick with the Hoovers for the present, sounds like as good as all mentioned here.

With the Electrlux I was doing offices, etc. No beds involved. The Hoover brings back happy memories of me pushing the big monster through the living room with one sister hanging on squealing for joy as we went ripping through with the others dancing around saying its their turn to ride the vacuum! It's probably sitting in a museum now.

I take the plug with me and plug it in as I'm doing the rooms so it can charge between jobs. Dyson cordless is really worth the money if you have stairs to deal with. Light and easy to use
