Ok, I have a real smartphone! Yippee! How does Instagram work?

You I just post photos with hashtags
thats all I know. I don't do much with it but my friend swears by it. She is always the posting photos and 15 second video

Our place has one but we don't use it much…. Our Facebook friends are our friends on that as well. We see more activities on our Facebook page than that. So you would post a picture and then name it #myB&Bname. Maybe a line of words. That's it. Give it a try that what we did but for us it wasn't worth it. (We put out pictures from time to time when we think of it.)

But you post more than B & B photos. Can be events, attractions nearby, etc and use keywords with the hashtag

It doesn't!!! If you're thinking of using it to boost your website traffic I'd concentrate on Pinterest instead, primarily because it allows you to add url links to your pics which instagram doesn't, although I'm told this is coming.

We have a local photographer who takes wonderful photos of local birds. She's made hundreds of them. Bald eagles, mallards, cranes, bluebirds, robins, you name it. So for the local tourism assn. I post one of her photos on Instagram every other day, with hashtags like #BirdingOurCounty and #BirdingOurState (with real county and state name of course). The hope is to attract a few birdwatchers to visit here, because we've heard they are very desirable tourists who spend money freely!

Here are a couple articles I found.
Article one
Article two
My daughter uses instagram to sell vintage clothing - I don't know how!
You got an actual smartphone?! ! Does this mean you'll be looking into using square?

I've had 5,000 views of a photo I took of a rainbow sitting right above the water on loc hness, but the question is how do you convert that into web traffic and bookings.

Write on the photo - wish you were here (use either punctuation - ! or ?)
