My new printer does not like the setup I have for printing cards. Previously, I slid the opened card into the printer and it printed in the empty space where you would usually write your greeting. I have the word doc set up as 4x6 and the actual card stock is 5.5 x 8.5, I want to print on half of the page - the bottom half. Or, as loaded into the machine, the right side.
This printer insists on printing dead center on the card stock. It's the correct orientation, so I need to figure out how to move the text over.
This is an Epson WF-2760. If you have any kind of Epson and an idea how to move the text over on the card stock, please help. This is a GC that is supposed to go out today.
There has to be a way to do this as lots of people print their own cards and the photo doesn't print dead center, it prints on the 'front' of the card stock.

Why don't you download one of the card templates the size you need.
Or draw a text box exactly Where you want it to print

I just wrestled with this today to print note cards. I could not get it to give me columns (using Publisher rather than WORD and the template refused to clear). It had a tab GUIDES and I was able to use that to put non-print lines to use to move the jpg logo where I wanted it. Or try the text box idea.

I have this already. Have been printing for years. New printer wants completely different set up. What I had to do was create an actual size card and move all the text around to fit. Then figure out which orientation to put the card stock in. All done now. I switched back to Lotus to get the card printed. Will now try the same layout in Word.

Think I have a new unopened box of the Lotus program in the shed with some other ancient computer stuff, son's TRS 80 from Radio Shack among other stuff.
On my (now retired) day job I used Access frequently, if I want to print something and have it show up in a specific place I often create it as an Access report.

Oh yes. Still have and still use! Got it for free from work about a million years ago. I think on floppy disks!
I won't be able to transfer it to my new laptop, but I'm keeping the old one, so i can still use it. It's more intuitive than Windows products. At least for this brain.
New computer should arrive this week, only a month late. But I've got tons of time starting next week.

I'm wondering if the new computer is powered by a spinning wheel. Or a gerbil on a treadmill.

I do use Word. But when it takes more than 10 minutes to format a document, I go back to lotus.

If I am having format issues with WORD, I will use PUBLISHER because I can always get it to do what I want.
