GGGRRRRAAAAGGGHHH

I hate this conference there is always some problem and they are always noisy and messy!
am going spare - 3 rooms with 1 company arrived yesterday was supposed to be in 3 nights - room 7 came to me im checking out now (really?) there will be another colleague coming but im not sure of the name - great - thought I had the day free and lots of other things to do so thanks for that.
we were out but chamber maid answered the door - chap im here to check in - "are you with the John poge group?" Yes I am they have booked a room for me
turns out he is not with them at all as the John poge group came back with "john" who is really staying - so who is this other guy?
taken his bag out of the room and checked the real guest into room 4 in case he knips back - but have 1 more guest to come due in about 10 mins who I have told the situation but who knows when this chap is coming back as not sitting up to all hours! no taggs on the case or anything!
now wasting my entire evening watching out for any movement to grab this guy - but what if he doesn't come back till the small hours?
Livid doesn't cover it!

We had a soccer group that did that. Sent someone else back with the key to take their room. We'd merely fluffed the room! She ended up with dirty towels and sheets.

chap came back 7.05 person who was supposed to be in that room was due any min - me glued for any sign of movement - saw chap, stopped him before he went upstairs , got to the text from his chum of where he was supposed to be - sent him there - he was so sorry for the trouble nice man
Real guest who i had had to tell what had happened came at about 7.30 so all worked out - but I was super worried in case first chap didn't come till say 3am and then tried to get into the room, wakes whole landing and turnes out not to have a room somewhere else say and I have to try and sort all this then - thank goodness it didn't come to that!
trouble is they don't think about the room not being cleaned if they don't tell us - I run on the principle if you don't tell me its on you

I would have called the police to take his luggage out of the room as he has checked in under false ID. Let them fix it up.

1 tiny bag - was more the face that he had the key so what I am I supposed to do with the real guest if he doesn't come back till 3am?
Its a golfing conference - and part of why its a majour hassel every year is its a lot of big companies who book for staff, reps and so on - its mega busy so they over book to be sure of rooms - Im paid in full so that's fine - but they never know what's going on - pain in my Posterior!
