So how are all of you doing during this storm? Wishing you all the best. Hang in there!

Warm and dry inside! The windows are rattling but the snow is lighter now. The thundersnow was wild. I won't shovel until tomorrow. How are things where you are?

The snow finally stopped here. Dear husband has been plowing in the dark. Guests arrive tomorrow. I hope I can get to the store, need flowers for the Valentines weekend! We still have major wind and drifting.

It's quite windy here. Can't tell at all where I shoveled yesterday. Huge drifts, but my car has no snow on it. Hoping the plow guy does more of driveway when he comes back. Poor Gomez will have a heck of a time getting the snow blower out of the shed when he gets back. (I can't. It's too heavy!)
I should expect thunder? Holy cow!

Same here but we didn't get the thunder. We thought we only got a couple inches until the plow came this evening. Guests tomorrow so I'll be busier getting ready for their arrival.
Update! My aunt went out to check on the apartment and found our driveway a sheet of ice and the apt water starting to freeze…. Strong winds has started again. So yes, going to be much busier tomorrow than we thought. But tomorrow is supposed to be in the 40s and 50s.

40's and 50's? Are you sure? It's only going to be in the 20's here with more snow and rain and back to snow starting Saturday.

We had verified blizzard. No lightning. White out sideways snow from about noon until we went to bed. Some spots are clean. Some are several feet of snow. VERY WINDY.
But today, I'm back in the office. It's just a New England winter.

Our usual rock and roll nor'easter blizzard here out at the end of the earth! Windows are still plastered with snow but we only ended up with about 10" of snow, although the drifts make it 24 " in some places. The thunder snow here on the coast is really weird...temps drop like a stone from high 40's to 20's changing the rain to snow and then boom! Electricity went out briefly but we were lucky to have power/water/heat for the duration...woke up to a beautiful sunny blue sky this morning. Quite beautiful!
DH is still laid up with the new hip but we were lucky to find someone to plow and shovel so I won't have to kill myself dealing with the clean up. Temps next week are in the 40's again so the pathways at least should be clean enough to get DH to rehab. Sea shanty, I think we are a bit warmer than you in general during the winter so we are expecting more rain than snow out of this next round or weather.
Hey, it's February in New England...still no place I's rather be! Glad to hear that all my NE innkeeper friends are doing OK.

We hired a plow guy this year for the first time. Pure luxury. So worth it!
We still have clean up on our cars and pathways, but the driveway is done and it helps a lot.

Turned out to be a bust here. More wind than anything else. Daughter's school was first a 2-hour delay then eventually cancelled altogether. She was bummed because that means no 4-day weekend next week for the President's Day as they take Friday back for a snow day.

Yes, having someone else get rid of the snow is pure luxury! Now that we are closed for the winter we no longer have a time line so we can sit back and enjoy the winter beauty instead of focusing on all the work.

Yeah, rude awaking…. no 40s and 50s here, so I don't know where it went but not here.

We had it the day before but not after like promised.

weve had brutal cold but just a few flakes (literally about 2 an hour its bizarre) but this week was the week we were pulling all the windows out next door so was praying every day for good weather! for the window people and then the roofers to change 4 slates to roof vents and retop the bay windows with fiberglass - this can't be done if its too cold as won't set so have done all the prep and sheeted up and will come back monday as forcast is 5 degrees so will set - fingers crossed.

Predictions of another 2 feet of the stuff on Sunday. Yikes! Glad we're still closed.

Only about 8 inches here. No wildness despite being right on the coast. We'd been in the Bay area for 10 days visiting our kids and were scheduled to fly out yesterday afternoon. Our youngest daughter sent us a weather update on Tuesday, and we were able to call JetB ASAP and they graciously moved our flight to Wednesday with no change fees. Lucky because we have guests arriving today and are full tomorrow. Subsequently our original flight and others from SFO to BOS were cancelled. Phew. Happy to be sitting here in the office enjoying sunshine, though miss the spring time and profound emerald green everywhere that the once drought stricken West Coast is now experiencing.

Wednesday in the half hour I went to the bank to cash my paycheck we had - sun/snow/hard snow with wind for almost whiteout conditions/ sun/snow/gloomy.
Yesterday the temp was up to 33F and today it is currently 66F and sunny. Tomorrow - back to going into the dumper. It is FEBRUARY! I want a pretty April and after.

We had a freezing mist earlier today. It's miserable out there right now.
