We had a great package with another inn. We had to dismantle it this year due to circumstances beyond anyone's control. I'm going to rename the package. It will contain basically the same pieces as the inn to inn without the second inn. Looking for catchy names for the new package. The guest gets 5 nights, tickets to do a wide variety of 'amusements', dinner 2 nights, etc. There are outdoor adventures, museums, scenic drives, and more.
Can you put on your thinking caps and come up with something catchy?

something I've seen ... Build Your Own (location) Vacation Package
I know, it's not that catchy is it? How about
Bed, Breakfast and Fun Bed, Breakfast and DAO (Dinner and Art and Outdoor Adventures)
(does 'Fun' sound weird?)
I just love the idea of having all kinds of things to choose from that you help me select.

I had a whole bunch of different items to select (bike riding, kayaking, archery, painting) and realized it would be a nightmare on the phone getting guests to select what they want months in advance so I could get the things lined up. It's very hard getting them to pick the time they want to go on the boat!
So, then I decided on a set item for each day, mix and match how you want, but the tix are all bought in advance, so no deciding in advance.

Two cents worth: while you might not want to offer me a choice of dozens of different activities months in advance and expect me to choose quickly, would it be to your advantage to offer two or three themes for me to choose from? Example: oldest son and wife (mid-50s) are more outdoor folks, bike riding, hiking, active items and culture would suit them well, while Maxine and I are more the scenic drive type of folks, things that didn't require a lot of walking.
Name: the words in your description, "scenic drives and more" bring this to mind. A great many years ago the theatre company I worked for played a series of travel films, silent films with a live guide giving the tour, the catch line that sticks in my mind was "All this and more in _____"

We do have a couple of different packages we offer, not necessarily this one laid out differently. However, I'll give that a think.
This one is a cross section of a lot of the things available here. There are outdoor activities that are somewhat passive (tour boat, scenic drives), some more active (kayaking), some are a combo. The very active stuff doesn't have to be done at all as you get a GC you can use for either the activity or a pair of boots.
There's some history and a garden tour. Dinner and a movie. And, the whole thing is available for a solo person as well. Or, add a kid into the mix for an upcharge.

Ok, so let me ask. Do your packages really pay for the time and effort you are putting into them? Could your time be better spent just letting guests know what options they have and letting them pick, choose and arrange the activities themselves, freeing you up to do other more in,portent things....like relax?

Short answer? All I get out of it is the room rate. I don't do anything other than the boat that requires I make any arrangements. Everything else is a GC and a map to get there.

And she doesn't even have to come up with a catchy name….

I would add something for your time to get all the GC together, etc.

I was going to ask the same thing. If you have to do all this work...and get nothing out of it...why do it? Put the stuff on your website and let them make their own arrangements. They are adults, why should you do everything for them for nothing. I would not.
I would offer a few complete packages for them to choose from and include something for my time in it. Then they just pick the ones they want..not from a whole list of things to do. Sorry. I think you are asking for more trouble than it is worth.

I did it to get more bookings, to attract people to stay with me. But I did get some extra money built into my pricing for the packages.
Guests wanted to do certain things in my area and I think they felt secure with me in the middle.
Most popular were the cruise packages --- I got tickets at a discount to lighthouse cruises, sunset cruises, nature cruises and island cruises ... guests chose at time of reservation which kind of cruise they wanted. I made a phone call to confirm their reservation.
In hot summer, the lobstering package was a huge hit. Guests went out (not very far!) on a lobster boat. Could pull in the traps or just watch. Lobster / clam bake was included. And I could send them over to buy lobster right off the boat to take home if they wanted to. No discount but the price was great for them.

No. I nixed the list of things to do where the guest picked. This is a set list. I buy the admission tix, hand them over with info on how to get where they need to be.
I only make the reservation for the boat because we do that with a voucher. Everything else you show up when you want.
It was very popular when we had the two inns. I'm trying to keep it going just here.
