Hi Kaulbach House
I started a new thread about your site because the comments were all mixed in with comments about other sites.

I love the pictures on your home page. I would put the location (Nova Scotia) right under your name at the top because I had to scroll down to find out where you are.
On the reservation page, two of the rooms have the same picture - so something needs fixing. Someone mentioned this in the other thread ... four rooms or seven ... or maybe they are not all ready. I'd get bigger and better pictures of the rooms up on the site as you can.
And if you are doing renovations, people LOVE to see renovation progress BLOG style. I'd put that all up on your facebook page -- all the down and dirty construction pics and then progress with a link to a page on your site and vice versa. It engages people.
I wish you very good luck with your place.

Thanks
Great Idea about the renovation updates on Facebook.
I have no good pictures of the rooms at the moment and I'm 6000 miles away for another few weeks
Although Lunenburg is only a small town of 2.5K people we do have a lot going on so I have tried to create a "What's On' page that shows the events that are happening next.

yes, I glanced at the local page.
Some day I have to get up to Nova Scotia, my grandmother was from there. Maybe I will be book with you when I eventually go. Never been. :)

Thanks

make sure as you go you keep your whats on up to date - that way you pick up searches for that activity and hopefully people need a place to stay for it and book you.

Thanks

.
I have sent 1/2 a day trawling through the tourist sights, music colleges, and local societies loading up as many as I can through to next November.
The site automatically puts the next event at the top of the list and hides completed events. Also only shows 6 months in advance so hopefully Googlebot will see fresh content as the site rolls forward.

Thanks

That's a great idea to focus a lot on what's going on. Most travelers are not there for the accommodations although, it does totally add to the experience 100%. You might also if you have not already, post weekly "What's On" on your Facebook page and "tag" those events to get more exposure.
