We have just installed thermostatic showers with a rain shower and hand shower to try to improve the user experience in the bathroom.

A bit of an expense but will it help get better reviews?

Sounds awesome but I wouldn't count on extra reviews because of it. They want everything these day and expect it. But hopefully it will.

Your probably right. Most new 5* hotels now have Rain and hadshowers along with heated mirrors etc. Highly unlikely that a B&B will be given top AAA rating but it is a goal :)

not sure what a thermostatic shower is but at The Lodge we have just put in a Massive Pressurised tank system which is like a power shower (so the plumbers tell me) all over 4 stories and much more volume and recovery time - also means no cold water tanks in the attic which gives more space to the 2 attic rooms which is another bonus. At the other place we have electric showers which heat their own water which means we never run out which is a double bonus.

AAA ratings - to get top ratings you have to have a restaurant, pool, gym, office space, marble bathrooms, at the least.
We've spoken extensively with our AAA inspector to get info on what improvements to make. From what we've been told, we'll hang onto our 3 rating, and not worry about it.

You can list it prominently in your list of amenities.
