He Got Scammed!

While I was at super tonight I got a call from my son. He is in New York, but he will NOT be coming to Pittsburgh tonight - he was hoping to get me before I left and did. He discovered there was no such flight as the one he had a ticket for from New York to Pittsburgh. He was scammed. By the time he got things figured out, he had just missed the last flight to Charleston, WV. He is now spending the night at JFK and will arrive in Pittsburgh at 10 AM tomorrow. I get ti tough and hug my baby tomorrow - for the first time since May 2014.
Today would have been our 42nd anniversary. All is well. I went to band rehearsal tonight instead of the airport - I played the triangle tonight. I am in the percussion section now.

Where did he buy his ticket? So sorry this happened and he couldn't get there last night. Hope he can at least get the money back. If he used a credit card, he should cancel it.

Oh wow...where did the ticket come from? Searching for the lowest fares isn't always the best thing to do. I only stick with sites I know. Is the airline helping him? Better contact CC company on this one fast.

Discovered the airline did not tell truth - THEY canceled that flight due to weather. He did not get charged for his new ticket. It was a phone call to his ticket provider in Finland to get it straightened out. He got to PITT at 10 this morning. We are home!! Going shopping now - clothes are cheap here and $$$$$ in Finland.

Air travel is a b!tch! Glad he's home. Spoil him! Enjoy the visit!

Glad everything worked out well! Happy 42 Anniversary!

Thank you, Everyone. HE is trying to spoil me. Difficult when two hard-heads both want to do for the other. We just got home from the rail-trail meeting and he has finally been able to go to bed. Other than snatching catnaps, he has been up for about 40 hours. I am not far behind in the going to bed dept. Exhausting day.

So not really a scam but a mix up. Glad to hear it all worked out ok. Get some rest as I am sure you both need it
