I know it's free, but do you pay for a link to your personal booking engine instead of just having the free link to the OTA?
Does the OTA link disappear?

No, don't think they ever approached me or perhaps I just got tired of their emails and stopped reading

I looked it over yesterday. The OTA links are still there and the biggest link is to an OTA, not the individual property. But, the property link is at the top of the list. Only listed once, unlike the OTA's.
Not sure it's worth $175.

No not worth the $$ more of a hotel site in my mind. Would never even think to use them

I signed up and had buyer's remorse within 3 days.
Quickly cancelled. Just couldn't see the value. They're advertising like crazy, but like TA the extra exposure you get for lots of $$$$$ just isn't that much.

Nope. Don't like their ads since it makes hotels etc looks like they are listing one room for all different prices to trick the guests to pay top dollar and that man in the grey shirt and scuffy beard will save everyone millions. I check their website and the hotels had all their listings at the same price. False advertising! Turned me off..... and we don't do OTAs so doesn't apply to us.

Followup to last year:
Got an email and a nasty call today saying I hadn't paid an invoice. Told them I'd cancelled last year.
They're now telling me that "since I didn't cancel online on their system, the contract wasn't cancelled and I still owe them money."
Since they were apparently calling from Germany, I told them to go pound sand in my most Teutonic accent.
They're weasels. Avoid them.

You're not the only one getting those calls. They are threatening 'other actions' against owners in Europe.

Under US telemarketing laws, once you inform them that they are not allowed to contact you again about your account, they can be fined for each subsequent call. I let our friends from Germany know that when I told them to tri-va-GO AWAY.

Don't use OTAs, don't pay for any online ads, etc... Did my own SEO and FREE Google biz listing. Local chamber, Wine Trail ads, free local Visitor & Tourism listing, and rackcards in our state's welcome centers kept us crazy busy enough this summer! Nice not to spend that money. Also understand it is a unique combination that works for us where we are located.
