Bad Day... What To Do...

Ugh, not sure what to do. Had workmen come in, but they all showed up around noon. Didn't realize guest was in. I mistakenly opened the door for electrician... apologized profusely. The second workman arrived (cable) and the guest left the door ajar and he peeked in. Guest remarked about privacy (correctly) and he was crass about where he goes, etc.
So, how do I make up for this?

We would probably do 50% off the bill for one day or, if he is there more than one day, maybe a one day comp. Either that or a complimentary bottle of wine.

I apologized again and again and again and gave them some of my home made specialty. Let's just hope the rest of the week is quiet.

I think the first part is 'your bad'. If the guest leaves their door ajar? Their bad.
Apologize once. The sweets were thoughtful. Anything else on the guest's part in the way of punishing you is someone you can't please.

We had 2 similar incidents (1) chamber maid really hammered on door but no answer, knocked again "housekeeping" - went in guest was in shower - chamber maid heard water opened bathroom door - shut it VERY quickly - right carry on. Got woman calmed down majour operation.
(2) chamber maid knocked on door - woman called "come in" was sat on the toilet! - thought it was her friend!

I think- 1st part is your bad
