Guests celebrating anniversary. Sister bought them a package along with the room. Package planned for 3pm arrival. Guests show up at noon. Nothing ready, including room. Guests sent on their way.
They'll be back who knows when but by then their food will be warm, not cold as it should be. A/C blasting in room in hopes that will help. By 4 I will remove food items from room. Guests will then arrive as I'm putting it back in the fridge.
This happens every time someone orders a food or drink add on. We don't even offer this any longer because it happened every time.

Why not just bring it out when they arrive to check in?
I know it looks good to have the table set up pretty, but still, you can have it on a pretty tray and say something like, "We have a surprise for you and I will be right back upstairs with it in just a minute."

Also, to the point of check in times. I soooooo agree with you. If they show at noon, they won't be back at 3 - more like 9.

Good idea. I generally don't have room in the fridge to store anything that is 'set up'.
However, they did return at 3, so all is good.
