They hype around Irma looks like the real thing. Hope all my southern neighbors are battened down and stocked up.
And I further hope she doesn't decide to keep coming up the east coast - or the gulf coast.
Stay safe, friends.

Unreal hurricane season!
I am also wondering about our Texas innkeepers - hoping all is well.
I don't know much about hurricanes having always lived in New England except for visiting in winter in Florida. Here we have blizzards and mostly hunker down. Although my friends right on the water get flooded out and are always featured on the news. It's horrifying what that rush of water does.

We're inland, but have family in Florida and the Savannah area of Georgia, may have family running here if it continues up the coast, sure would be nice if it would turn away.

Stacie Hearn is on another forum I am on. She was surrounded but water did not get in. She was housing several people until they were ordered to evacuate and all staying were required to leave. Stacie & family stayed. A friend who was working rescues brought supplies to statice so she could keep feeding them.
She is organizing relief supplies. I am sending a box when I get home. I have some sheets & towels etc. to send
