Woman from UK checked in with her husband. She says the pillows smell like body odor and suggests to Hubby, that the housekeeper may have neglected to change the bed. (For the record, her husband and my husband both tried but couldn't smell anything unusual.)
A. No Way and B. NO! I can see the housekeeper forgetting to empty a wastebasket or restock the shampoo. But changing the bed is pretty standard stuff.
So, he changed their bed. A second time in one day.
The next morning she told me she slept beautifully, the bed was the most comfortable ever. We chatted a bit and later, when she left, she gave me a big hug and wished she could stay longer.

Good for just fixing the perceived problem.
And? Guys just do not have the same smell receptors that women have. Never ask a guy to 'smell this'. Ask another woman!
Gomez had a gas leak at his house for over a year. He could not smell it. I complained every time I went to his house.

Interesting.
Amen to fixing the perceived problem, even if you don't see it.
I once served a cocktail in the wrong glass. Woman sipped it and said it was the wrong drink. I apologized, brought it back to the bartender who poured it into the correct glass. Brought it back to the woman (told her no charge) she took a new sip ... great!
Sheets or blankets can seem funky to one person and not another, I suppose. I'd have to do the sniff test myself to see. But yes, get those sheets OFF there.
Remember when the owner of a place and her son SLEPT in beds and she told me those sheets didn't have to be changed because 'it was just them'? Gross.
As soon as they were out the door, we whipped those sheets off the beds. You bet.

Agree. We are like that. He never smells anything until I've said something. (I wasn't home.)

We speculated that maybe the room could have smelled of the previous guest, but whatever, just fix it.

A gas compamy man told me omen have the best "smellers". they will detect odors a man will not. He said when a woman calls to say she smells gas, they believe it.
