Phone call.   "Do you have any rooms with two beds for this date?"

Him:  We have two rooms available for that date that have two beds.  The first is our two room suite.  It has a queen bed in one room, and a full size pull out sofa in the other."

Phone call: "I'm not sleeping on a couch!"  CLICK

Him:  (to the air)  Well, ok then.

She didn't give him a chance to describe the other choice which has two actual beds.  But I think we didn't want to host that particular guest anyway, so "ok then."

What I love about this business is that so often it's self-regulating.

Most jerk guests tend to eliminate themselves before they even have a chance to show up and be jerks.

We charge $25 per person for any more than 2 guests in a room.

I don't believe this caller was a party of 3.  She sounded like a party of 2 that didn't want to sleep in the same bed.

Do you charge extra when there are more than 2 guests in a room?

I have one large-sized room that can accommodate 3 people, which is mentioned on our website. There's a loveseat that pulls out to a single bed. However, I bought an air mattress that has its own frame bc pullout sofas are pretty uncomfortable. The company I bought it from is called "Frontgate". I've received a lot of good feedback about it.

I'm amazed at the number of people who call and ask for a specific room that can't accommodate 3 people, but they ask, "Do you have a rollaway bed you could put in there?" I tell them that due to fire safety regulations, I cannot accommodate more than 2 people in that room.

I charge $50 per night for the 3rd person. It takes extra work to set up & take down the bed, plus there are more linens to wash & there's a 3rd person at breakfast.

I have often said to people who want their friends to sleep on the floor - would you?

We've got two rooms with two beds, and I still get people who want not those rooms, but the room they want, but with another bed in it.

I wondered about the sleeper sofa and how that would go over.
