All I did was reach for the phone and my back spasmed so badly I haven't been able to move all day. Of course, we are suddenly popular. Had to decide whether I'm going to be able to handle 5 rooms tomorrow.
Oh, what the heck! We took them.
Loading up on aleve and trying to find a comfortable position to sit or lie down.

Do you have access to Robaxacet in the US? It's OTC in Canada. Maybe next time you visit... they even have it generic at Costco for like $10 for a giant bottle.

Hope your back is better soon.
Things like this whilst an inconvenience for most are a real problem for us. A lady down the road slipped on the stairs and landed on her back in peak season, her husband had to do everything for a few days.

Ouch, hope your back improves quickly. Twenty years ago Maxine had back surgery during our busy Christmas vacation period, like Saturday every day, that was a challenge.

Housekeeper came in early to do breakfast. I'm able to get from bed to chair to bathroom back to chair. But i have 7 rooms worth of ironing to do when guests are gone for day. Maybe Gomez will drag it over here so I don't have to get dressed!

I hope you're back on your feet soon, Morticia! As someone who regularly suffers from back spasms, I'm all too familiar with your pain. Something as silly as picking lint off the carpet can cause my back to spasm. I used to have them about every other month, sometimes mild, sometimes crippling to the point where I couldn't tie my shoes. 6 weeks of PT taught me preventative stretches that I perform every morning & evening. I also started getting massages once a month & use a TENS machine & a heating pad. Knock on wood, I haven't had a crippling spasm in about 6 months.
If you'd like, I can email Generic a copy of the exercises I perform & he can pass them along to you.

Thanks! I'm good on exercises. I've got a slew of them I got 3 years ago when this started. Of course, I have not been doing them faithfully because they take about an hour every day.
I think all the ironing will help. Looks like about 12 sets of sheets so far, and three more loads to go. I should know better than to put anything off until a 'slow' day.

Are you feeling better?.

Yes, thanks! Back to work. Had to get better, the ironing was stacking up!
.
UGH! The dreaded ironing board. I am in the process of changing over to flannel - one bed to go. One more A/C unit to take out for the winter. Will do that today sometime between meetings.
