Why I don't go out for breakfast...

Friends stopped in and we all went out for breakfast. 12 hours later? Violently ill. 2 of us. We ate the same thing. That was 2 days ago and I'm still not willing to eat anything. Friend was in bed for 36 hours.
Ever had food poisoning? Did you call the restaurant to let them know?

Actually, maybe if it's two of you, you should call the dept of health?
I've had it once, but no way to pinpoint it. I ended up curled up in bed for a day.

I have a friend who stopped in a "quick shop" gas station on the way to the airport, and got one of the burritos the hold warm under the heat lamps. Then boarded his airplane...to Taiwan!
Eight hours later, over the mid Pacific, the food poisoning hit him. What a horrible situation.

That happened to my guests once and I had suggested the restaurant to them. The husband was up all night barfing, etc. After they left I phoned the manager of the restaurant and told him. He appreciated it and was quite concerned. With his concern, I didn't feel it necessary to phone the Health Department.

I'm having a bagel. Yesterday I had a scone. That's it since Thursday.
I feel ok. I just have no desire to eat anything.

How awful for you. Hope you feel better soon.

Absolutely called the restaurant. They will need to review their food handling and safety and make corrections. Chances are there were more than just the two you sick. I would not be recommending them to guests, however. Ever again.
Hope you are on the mend soon. Food poisoning really knocks you off your game for several days, even if you manage to stay hydrated.

I hope you will be 100% very soon.

I called. Was told this had never happened in 20 years of operation. Owner was upset. Server who took the call was upset. Better than a blase attitude.
