On vacation. Yay! Next leg of journey is about 3 hours' driving thru some sparsely populated desert.
Had dinner with friends last night and they had premade iced tea. Gomez drank a lot of it. It was made with splenda.
Gomez is down for the count. He cannot have splenda at all. Much less in large quantities. Staying another day here, then hopefully moving on to CA.
Otherwise, fun vacation! It was 95 here yesterday. Hoping to get back to some more reasonable temps tomorrow.

Hope he feels better!
We find April to be very busy taking reservations for summer. I think we'll be a March vacation couple. Still researching places that are actually warm in March that aren't Las Vegas.

So sorry he is down. I hope it wears off quickly. Will drinking a lot of water flush it out of his system I hope? Horrible thing to happen on a vacation.

Wow. Sorry he's not well. (Splenda is no good for you)
We have weird weather here. Snow this morning. All gone now with sun, but rain on the way, 40's and 30's, supposed to be in the 60's Wednesday then back into the 40's Thursday.
Enjoy!!

We've almost paid for the entire vacation so far with all the reservations I've taken this week.
Warm in March, not Vegas: Utah, Arizona, SoCal, Louisiana. Avoid school vacations and you'll have much of the national parks to yourselves!
Next year we're moving the vacation entirely into March for the same reason you mention. Plus, April seems to be pretty busy for us now. March not so much.

We decided that being open in March is more trouble than it's worth with the slick black ice on the driveway and the crazy winds off the water. Heating the house and worrying about guests falling on ice - not worth the spotty occupancy.
Thanks for the tips! Never been to New Orleans.....hmmmm.

West coast of South America. Then November is a longer one, all the way into the Amazon.
