I am retiring from the corporate world shortly and will be joining my husband to be an innkeeper!
We've had the inn nearly 5 years now and we've made it to the point where I can leave my 'outside job.'

Congratulations! That's great! Love to see planning work out and dreams come true. Once I quit my "other job" our inn keeping became much more enjoyable because we each assumed duties that suited us and handed off those that didn't!

Chiming in to say, Hooray! It's a great way to live!
We're rolling through our 13th year and it is rather amazing how the division of labor into strengths and likes make for a well-oiled machine. Even though we are getting older and we are in year 3 of our 5 year exit strategy, we still very much enjoy what we do.

Congratulations! We did the same last summer and created a new inn which opened last Fall. We enjoy meeting so many great guests. Not having the commute to work and the typical corporate issues is a great perk.

Yeah, so..... tomorrow is my last day! It's getting real!
I love my home and my inn and I do not love my train commute and my city office. Yay.
