Love is in the air

We had a family in 4 (of 6) rooms here for a wedding. They took over the breakfast room the first morning, so the second morning, I set the dining room table for 8 and they took the hint!
We also had a family wedding this weekend, so I made a fruit platter with heart shaped strawberries and called it 'wedding fruit.'
Sunday morning, out outlier couple - not a part of the group - announced they'd gotten engaged the night before in our inn!!! I was so excited. I blurted out, "So this is 'your place'!" Hoping they come back. They live in Boston, just an hour away.
She had been booked for last weekend for her birthday and called in tears saying her grandmother had died...... I decided she sounded sincere and, since her room was also available this weekend, we just moved the reservation. And for my good and kind gesture, I got a proposal and a new repeat visitor! (I hope.)
Love is in the air!!

Make a note on date, room, etc for future bookings for them. Congrats to you and them!

You can always offer them some type of yearly "Special" to keep them coming back for their romantic get-aways?!?
