Just a quick note (I have to be up at 4 AM to fix breakfast) to tell you the Assessor's office called to tell me that my application for the waiver of the tax on my residence part of the house for 2018 has been approved. When I paid my taxes forthe year on Monday, I held out thatpage and did not pay it. Now I do not have to. Whoopee!

Assessment for our personal residence went up substantially last year. I filed the appeal form, then wonder of wonders, got an offer for a 30 K reduction without having to go thru the appeal process. I took that offer like a shot.
The house I inherited this year just got a notice of a $14 K bump up. I will appeal due to issues with the property.
I've done more than one appeal through the years and have gotten a reduction every time.
Congrats. Just wish we didn't have to persist at this!
