I get the best guests

Got an IM from another B & B tonight - Do you have a room tonight? Yes. You will be getting a call.
A local hotel called, needed 2 rooms. Got the cc# and moved like a bat out of hell. Tapped on the door of the pipeline kid, you are sharing the bathroom tonight - he grabbed all his stuff out of the bathroom and I cleaned it. Fortunately I spent the day today doing laundry and the Gillum was ready. Then I started working on the dishes I had not done this morning.
Guest calls - I think we are lost. Give directions again. Little bit later, it is me, the dummy again. Now I cannot figure out where they are. I stay with them until I determine where, get them on the right road, and tell them to pull in to the Sheetz and I will come get them. They are laughing and poking fun at each other the whole time. 2 older couples. I loved them before I even met them.
AND a 10 AM breakfast. Got the coffee roasted and I am now headed for bed. Was up at 4 this morning for a 6 AM breakfast. I get to sleep in til 7:30 tomorrow! (Have to get flour and OJ for breakfast when the store opens at 8.)
Update: I was mercifully empty except for the pipeliner Saturday. Last night I am feverishly transcribing Minutes that were due Friday when I get a call asking for a room - and she is 20 munites away per GPS.
She arrives and when I asked about dietary needs she said, "I have food in the car if need be." She is no wheat, no soy, no chicken eggs, and no lactose. She can have veggies and fruit, rice... I look at the list and ask if she can have oatmeal. Yes. So I made my baked oatmeal vegan. She loved it. She paid cash AND ledt a tip!!
It is almost 10 AM and she has gone and the first load of laundry is started AND the dishes are more than hald finished. I am sooo proud of me. (And the kid came back about half an hour ago - his pipeline is on hold (permits problem) but they are keeping them on. He said they have to come in each morning, sign a paper, and done for the day until it is settled. He said he is not leaving yet. WHEW!!)

Was up at 4 this morning for a 6 AM breakfast. I get to sleep in til 7:30 tomorrow!
Gillum, after all these years, it sounds to me like you're still enjoying this! Good for you. Keep being the perfect host and enjoying your guests, however they may come to you, and however they may be.
Also, let me know if you actually sleep until 7:30. I couldn't sleep that late, no matter how I try.

I forgot to take Aleeve before I went to bed (up & down the stairs a lot yesterday) so leg cramps had me up & down all night. You are correct though, I woke up at 6:30 and enjoyed rolling over when I realized I could sleep for another hour.
These 2 couples were a joy! So full of fun. and they shopped and told me keep the change (almost as much as one of the rooms between them). I took them over to the log house after breakfast and they were over the moon about it. They loved breakfast and asked if they could have their bread (which I bagged up for them).. It is now 1:30 and I had best get the washer started. I have unexpected guests the last 2 nights - meaning IF I get guest ready I will NOT get guests tonight.
