Today's quiz!
So, you come down to breakfast in the lovely B&B you're staying in, at 7.40. There's no one about, the lights are all off, there's nothing laid out in the breakfast room, in fact there is washing hanging over all the chairs. Do you?
a) Think you've got the time wrong?
b) Standing in the breakfast room hollering "hello", "good morning" until someone gets out of bed to find out what's going on?

Your post is funny, but yeah, I'd be a bit po'd. Did I even TELL you when breakfast is??? Did I say 7:40?? No? What time did I say? hmmmm?

c. Sit down at the table with computer and scare the poor innkeeper half to death later on.

I hate it when guests are more than 15 minutes early. Go away! I specifically told you our breakfast times!
I recently had a guest surprise me while I was in my bathrobe at 6am. I'd just let the dogs out and wandered into the kitchen to take the cinnamon rolls out of the fridge for their 2nd proof. The guest was looking for DECAF, which we don't have by the Keurig. Who the heck needs decaf 2 1/2 hours before breakfast?? I wanted to punch him in the face when he said, "Oh, did I wake you?"

Mine have no excuse as they have told ME what time I am to serve breakfast.

Mine have no excuse either, breakfast time is on the wall in their room, it's on the first page of the room information and I TELL THEM when I show them to their room.

It's rare we run into anything like this as Gomez is out in the kitchen at 6am every morning. I'm the one who gets hit when I roll out at 7:30 to set the tables and they're already full of guests!
Breakfast starts at 8. I need that half hour to wake up, read the funnies, do my Sudoku!
We had a group of 6 women this week and they LOVE to get up early and chat over coffee with Gomez. ;-)
