Honestly, we are having one of those mornings that at make you wonder if you just made up all those good people in your head.
Two early checkins yesterday - as early as noon. The room happened to be ready so I gave it to her. She told me she'd been dropped of by a guy from her church...TMI. She was wearing big sunglasses, a scarf on her head - like a celebrity that didn't want to be recognized - and an overcoat. In August. In New England. It was 75 degrees and humid. She had five small bags - I offered to carry some for her - no, she'd rather gather them all. She obviously didn't want me touching her stuff.
She cut my speech short - didn't need to know about the TV or wifi or other amenities. This morning, she snapped at another guest for 'crowding' her at the coffee pot. She ate in her room. I want her gone.
Another group - two couples from Europe. We found cigarettes in the jelly packets. Nice.
Another couple - late check ins. They first let us know they had an apple and two cookies for dinner. (How is this my problem? In fact, isn't it nice we had snacks available?) They sat down and ate all the bread. Nothing else. Just toast and jelly. And more toast and more jelly. Skipping over the quiche, blueberry pancakes, fruit and yogurt, bacon and sausage. Toast. (and for the first time in our five year history - all the jelly is gone from the very large basket of jelly packets.)
Ummmmm, yeah, I think that's everybody.
Morticia, today, I thought you were right. Plates. No buffet.
