I Called... Why Didn't You Answer....

Guest shows up in a foul mood at 9:40AM (said she was coming to drop off luggage at noon). Why don't you answer your phone? Well.. because I'm serving breakfast, that's why. Why did you assume you could check in at 9:40AM and have access to your room? Could put your luggage in the room?
It gets worse... "I'm an old lady, do you have a room on a lower floor?" No!
I'm already tired of her. She's sitting in the lounge. The housekeeper wants to give her her room early just to be rid of her. She's likely just going to lounge around the whole damn day. Never going to see the city. Why did you book here? You need a hotel! Not a B&B with 40 stairs to the top floor.

Ugh! Now she wants to use the bathroom... you aren't checked in yet...
I'm going to check on the statues of how long before I get out of parole...

I had someone turn up at the house the other day wanting a room, I opened the door to a somewhat aggressive "We were here at 1pm but no one answered the door"!!!!
Yeah, so!!! I'm not on 24 hour call in case you need a room.
Funny thing was when they came to the house at 1pm the vacancies sign was out because I forgot to change it, when we got back I turned to No Vacancies. They obviously hadn't seen the switch so when he said "Why do you have Vacancies outside".........I said "we don't" and shut the door. Ha Ha

Crisis over. She returned, except she couldn't remember how to use the lock or the key... which of course I had demonstrated 3 times and shown her how to use it. Apparently, she didn't enjoy my attitude... a reflection of her own.
So she checked out. We talked to BK about it. They will refund it and she can't write a review because she didn't stay. And I'm glad to see her backside. But if she goes elsewhere. I'm more than willing to reply because showing up to be abusive of someone's hospitality 6 hours before check-in... isn't right.
