I'm curious as to whether anyone has tried blogging as part of their marketing for their B&Bs? Full disclosure: I'm posting as part of a content marketing agency that specializes in alternative accommodations.
I'd love to hear first hand what successes you've had/issues you've faced/whether it's been worth your while.

No offense, but I don't think you're going to find any traditional innkeepers eager to give advice to "alternative accomodations."
Anticipate a silent thread, my friend.

And here I was being subtle.

I am many things, but I've never been accused of being subtle.

What do you consider 'alternative'?.
Alternative as opposed to more traditional/standard hotels. B&Bs, cottages, vacation rentals, and so on.
Sorry if the term caused any offense. :) Truly was not meant to.

Almost everyone on here is 'traditional" and probably not really in the mood to help someone who is promoting 'alternative' lodging.
Kind of like asking a taxi medallion holder to explain how to make Uber work better.

I'm sorry if it appeared as if I was looking for a handout from anyone—and again, if I offended with the term alternative—just was trying to get a first-hand understanding of some challenges faced and wanted to be up front with who I was as per the terms for vendors in the FAQ. Happy long weekend to all!
