New Innkeepers-to-be introduction and thank you!

Hello all! I’m so glad I found this forum as we head into this new endeavor. My wife, Stacey, and I are downsizing our 6 bd house since the kids have left and looking to purchase an Inn in a wonderful little town I have had the pleasure of visiting for over 25 years, as a tourist and hanging with locals extensively. We know this town and love it and all the joys and problems that come with it.
But this is new for us. I have run several advertising and design businesses and my wife is a doctor by trade. I hope to parlay my 25 years of experience in marketing to running that side of the Inn, my wife is our “rock” for our finances. She’s frugal, smart with money and knows how to turn profit.
I will be searching and asking about many topics BUT, I hope, at some point, to offer my help to others.

Welcome, I stumbled on this forum some years ago now (was up early while visiting family and sitting in dark playing computer), while I'm the odd guy with an 8 room motel, I found so much here that applied to our little place. I spent the next few mornings reading all the older posts absorbing all I could, hope you learn and enjoy as I have.

Thanks all, I’ll update as things proceed. We are heading up there to tour the property and speak with the owners and broker, along with having lunch and afternoon drinks/tea with a couple of other Innkeepers. We are staying at the property two of the nights, one night at a B&B the hospital my wife is interviewing at set us up in. It will be good to see how they are set up. We have stayed in this town together for 4 years, and I’ve been visiting for 25, as I have said, so I feel like I have a good idea of what we are dealing with.
But, that all said... yipe! “Honey, here we go!!”

Yes, hello! Might I ask where you are located? We are currently in Central Arkansas but looking in the Eureka Springs/Beaver Lake area.
