Captcha on this forum

Hey...the Captcha used on the forum here really sucks.  I  mean...seriously sucks.

I typed the code about 6 times before I got it right.  That's because the captcha in many cases was completely illegible.  That needs to get fixed because if its going to be that difficult to participate here it's not worth it to me.

Please change the forum settings to use either a different captcha or some other option for spam protection.  Most forums are configurable with a few choices.

Thanks!

I haven't really experienced much trouble with it. I am grateful to SWIRT that we have a forum and I don't have to do anything to benefit from it.

If you stay logged in you won't see it.  The system needs to learn that you are trusted and it won't give you a problem logging in every time.

I get logged out about once a month, maybe because I'm checking the forum from multiple devices depending on where I am. But I'm never asked to complete a captcha anymore. Just asks for my username and password and I'm back in.

In fact, I sort of remember Swirt saying, last time it came up, that most of the spam attacks on this site are not something captcha helps with, so he removed the captcha, or I guess as you say, removed it except for the first time.

Generally speaking you only need to sign in using the captcha thingy once. I haven't used it in forever. Not sure why you seem to need it everyday.
