We are closed for 12 days and I’m looking at a pile of uneaten apples.    I have a great recipe for homemade applesauce, but no one to serve it to for 12 Days.

Have you frozen applesauce?

Do you have a better idea for using up a pile of apples?

Thanks!

I froze it this year.  So far, great!

Yes! We do ... just leave a space at the top of container maybe an inch. You can also prepare apples as though for a pie, soak in lemon juice for about 5 minutes and then freeze to bake with later. Love apple crisp, apple pie, apple hand pies, yummm

Yes. My Mom froze her applesauce. Granny had apple trees on her property hat were reputed to have been planted by Johnny Appleseed. We canned and/or froze everything.
