Hello to all from a new forum member in Everson,WA, Sundara West BnB. Although there is a question in this topic, it’s also a “Who would have ever expected this to happen!”
The guest brought her 90 lb chocolate lab...which just happened to be very, VERY pregnant!
Well, Tracker, not having been told when she was due, decided it was going to be that week! So, Tracker proceeded to deliver NINE puppies overnight (all alive and healthy)! Our guest had paid our typical pet fee and then asked how much extra for Tracker’s new family! My jaw dropped to the floor! I told her we had never even dreamed of such a circumstance. Since insurance is footing the bill (botched ice maker for fridge was improperly installed and flooded the house), I felt we should avail our BnB the opportunity for this although I would have been delighted to have the PR for such a fun happening. So, I open the floor for comments (yes, we have pictures and are collecting more!)

You have been posting when you hit save.
This is a Social Media gold mine!! Post to Instagram, blog it on your website weekly with photos of how they have grown, do same on FB. Dog & cat photos are gold for shares.

Congrats! Milk this (ha ha) for all it's worth. Unless there was damage done with the birthing, I wouldn't charge more. Are they staying longer or have they left?

Still here while waiting for home to be repaired from the water damage. I discussed with our guest the great story value of the happy but unusually newsworthy event. I told her this was the kind of thing that could easily go “viral.” So, I’ve held off on details to allow her “first dibs” on bragging rights.
But I am inclined to agree with you! Only because payment is through the installer’s insurance company would we consider any extra payment. I suspect the insurance company would welcome the very positive press generated by assuring a nice birthing place in the country rather than a sterile hotel room in town in Bellingham!

That's awesome! I love labs. I had a black one many years ago. He was one of the best dogs I ever had.
Pictures, please!

My jaw is on the floor. Everson is where my grandfather was born. House next to golf course. Old dairy farm. I lived quite a while in Hopewell nearby. It's like the only home town I have known. Can't wait to see your pictures. I'll have to go on Google maps and see what the old place looks like now. Would never have imagined a B&B there. And haven't thought of Everson in ages and ages.
