For those who have air conditioners, are you going to sanitize the filter after every checkout? How? What will you use? Remove filter and soak or spritz?

Ours have removable, cleanable filters. Housekeeping will put them in the sink and soak with a bleach solution while they start stripping the room. Will rinse and reinstall when done.
Full disclosure: Hadn't even thought of air conditioning filters until your post. Just added the above to our cleaning protocol seven seconds ago....

Hope the bleach doesn't start to degrade the filters. Time will tell. Hope it keeps going well.

I don’t know why I thought about it either. Other than they filter the air the guests are breathing.
For us, I don’t think bleach near carpet is a good idea. ;-) We’ll probably use Lysol spray.

Has anyone considered just detergent and hot water...perhaps nuked for 30 seconds?

Lots of options. Where I’m at is keeping everything in the room instead of dragging stuff to the kitchen to wash. The screens are too big to be carefully washed in the bathroom sink. And, there’s always the housekeeping help that is less than careful.
We usually wash them a few times during the summer, especially if it’s humid and the units get used a lot. I was hoping a quick spritz with something would do the trick.
Of course, I’m also mindful that this bug will mutate if a few of them survive a half-hearted attempt to bump them off.
