Honestly, I don't feel like that would impact me in any way. It's interesting, but not something I would personally do. Especially for the price....except maybe if I was going on Safari in Africa.

Not a camper or glamper. What's the point? If you want all those amenities then go somewhere that provides them. Those who do go camping are usually trying to get away from it all, not drag it all with them.

We bill our woodland cottages as "camping for sissies" This seems to appeal to a certain demographic: husbands like the outdoors, wives like the luxury. <--(Broad Generalization).
Many of our guests wax nostalgic when they visit saying that our place reminds of them of church camp. Then after they've "camped out" in our amenity-ladened luxury cottages, they're like, Wow!
We have to agree that it IS a growing trend. As Swirt will bear witness, not for everybody.
P.S. Where are the bathrooms in the yurts? The main complaint I hear from ladies about camping is the lack of facilities.
The yurts for our member inn have composting toilets, I believe, and then there are separate bathrooms with showers up the hill.

call it whatever you want...no one will get me to go camping in any way shape or form
They could stay with most any of us for less thn some of these packages. I agree, that if one is going to do this Glamping, they should just go to a B & B! We used to camp when the 2-leged animals were all at home. I liked camping because once I set up the camp (tent, sleeping bags, etc) I was free until the next meal. I could sit back with my book...... It was also something I could afford for my own R & R. I could go camp at the State Park for $3 per night. One time after I had gone for n R & R, our youngest daughter asked DH what the weather was supposed to be the next day. He asked her "where did your mother go?" and her immediate response was, "Oh, rain."
