OfflineI am so gratefull to my daughter for the UPS she gave me two years ago. Just in the last 24 hours, I cannotcount how many times my powere has gone off and back on (fortunately it does come back on). I have not lost the computer yet! I think the unity was about $50. Last week we had a longer outage and it gave me time to gracefully bring down the system. It is a good investment, just a small "box" that fits under my desk that is plugged into the wall and my computer and other important things are plugged into it. Power flicks and the UPS kicks in and peeps to let me know it did.

Yes they are great. I experience many power outages and it really helps having the battery in there so the computer can stay on long enough to be carefully shut down.
Extra batteries for lap tops are good too!
