When you give a complimentary upgrade (meaning a higher priced room for the same price the guest orig booked) do you make a note of it on their statement? Do they realize they just got a really good deal or savings?
ie The Garden Room is normally $120 and you upgraded them to The Canopy Room for the same rate, which is normally $145, so for two nights that is valued at $50 in free upgrade.
