On another "sale" note - they now sell LED strand lights, save energy (energy star rated) costs and they are ten times better than regular lights that have bulbs burn out and replace the bulbs all the time.  Lowe's has them right now at 60% off (Pre and Post Christmas).  You can get smaller-micros size (Christmas tree light size) or larger outdoor strand lights.

We are the only home that gets away with strand lights year-round.  Use them for their entry way or gardens or porch etc.led strand lights

This is the only time of year I have found these and discounted (which makes them even better!)

is there a brand you recommend?  i have a few that the led bulbs are so dim and blue-ish but i thought a friend had some that were led and much brighter.  ?

i love seeing lights up year round, on bushes and trees outside restaurants and shops (and b&b's)  as guides along railings and stairs.  fairy lights.  so pretty
