Description

Baked oatmeal as a breakfast starter with warm milk or cream is well received at our inn.

Ingredients

3crolled oats
1cbrown sugar
2tground cinnamon
2tbaking powder
1tsalt
1cmilk
2 eggs
1⁄2cmelted butter
2tvanilla extract
3⁄4cdried cranberries

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 

In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients adding fruit last.  Spread into a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Bake in preheated oven for about 40 minutes.

 

Notes

Variations:  fresh apples, raisins, and toasted walnuts.   Bet it would be good with dried apricots and toasted pecans, too!

Adjust sugar to your tastes.
