Description
Sin on a plate... your week's cholesterol in one serving, but oh, so worth it!!
Ingredients
| 1 | c | milk |
| 1 | T | instant coffee |
| 1 | lb | chocolate chips |
| 1 | T | vanilla |
| 1 | T | orange liqueur |
| 1 | lb | butter, softened |
| 8 | egg yolks, beaten | |
| whipped topping |
Instructions
Scald milk and coffee until hot (either microwave or stovetop). Add chocolate chips and stir until melted, reheating if necessary. Let cool if still very hot. Stir in extract and liqueur. Beat in softened butter and egg yolks until well mixed.
Pour into a springform pan lined with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 23 minutes. (My oven is slow, so I go 27 minutes). The middle will still be jiggly and not look done, but the edges will have started to firm up.
Let cool, chill in fridge at least a few hours. Invert on serving plate, garnish with whipped cream.
Notes
It needs to be cooked through, but don't overcook or it gets hard instead of creamy.
Keeps in the fridge for at least a week. Looks great garnished with chocolate curls, chocolate chips, or candied orange rind.
