Jan 3, 2011 Update:

Two rooms checked out yesterday

  1. Smaller room wood floor and asian rug, had a smoker for 4 nights (although they were gone during the day each day). While here, he would go to his car - sit in the car - smoke cig's and absorb the odor.
  2. Second room was larger with wall-to-wall-carpet.  She smoked cigs (not a chain smoker) and apparently he smoked cigars.

After check out I first sprayed Magic Zymes in the rooms.  Then I stripped the linens. Yesterday afternoon we made the rooms back up.

I went upstairs today to give it a fresh nose test and there is NO RESIDUAL SMOKE SMELL.  In one room I purposefully DID NOT spray the magic zymes in the closet where their coats were hung and suitcase sat.  The other room I did.

The closet in the room without the magic zymes still reeked of residual smoke.  

So the proof is in the pudding.  My tests are now complete, I will now order reg sized bottles.  Shipping is free.  If they are at the PAII conf I suggest buying some.  I would like to test of strong perfume, but feel confident it would work well.

PS Remember this spray has no strong odor of its own, it is barely noticeable.

They said they won't be at the PAII conference in SC (too expensive for them) but they will be at the Mid-Atlantic one in Lancaster, PA in March I believe.  Did the MZ work in the laundry or did you not try it?

Tried it in the hotel. Worked ok over night but smell was back the next day. It works but it can't compete with continual assault from all sides!
