No one has unlimited marketing funds, especially innkeepers, but many make the mistake of basing their buying decisions solely on the COST of a directory listing, website design, photo shoot, or whatever, rather than a reasonable projection of the RESULTS. From Quantcast to Google Analytics to other objective measurement tools, this workshop will teach innkeepers how to make the wise buying decisions that will maximize occupancy and profitability.    Innkeepers will get a better understanding of how to allocate their time and measure their limited resources, including estimating acquisition and retention costs, conversion ratios, etc.  The key metric is not just the number of “hits” your website receives, but how many of those turn into reservations of a specific dollar value.  Once you have that information, you’ll know how to fine-tune your marketing, and improve any soft spots along the conversion path, including potential problem areas like poor photos, inadequate reviews, or a lack of online reservations.
