There are many options for hosting a website.  Many companies that do website design will also offer to sell you a hosting package, this is often a much more expensive option and ties you to that company for the long term.  If you are looking for affordable website hosting that offers both stability and a full feature set, 1and1 is a good value.  Most B&B websites can be run just fine using their "Linux: 1&1 Home" level of of hosting.  For ~$5 per month you get more server space and bandwidth than you will ever use, domain specific email accounts (your-email@yourdomain,com) and two domain names included in the cost.

All of my own sites and most of my client's sites are hosted on 1and1 servers.
